One example of such commitment is our ability to incorporate statistical control to validate our manufacturing process. This includes individual operators, individual processes, and the most advanced and latest software technology in the market, MQ 1. MQ1 is an Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) software system that gives our company quick access to key product information. This includes process flows, FMEA, control plans, work instructions, check sheets, PPAP,
test results and more.
   
 

The FARO ARM is a precision
instrument capable of providing accurate
measurements of three dimensional
features. The FARO ARM allows us to
quickly confirm that our products are
meeting or exceeding our customer’s
expectations. The software that the
FARO utilizes allows us to create SPC
charts that give us the feedback we need
to continue to be a world class provider
of fabricated armor parts. Ultra has both
large and small Faro Arms for the exact
application. We can measure and
document parts as large as 24 feet or as
small as a few inches.
   
  Some customers request certification of incoming material for their parts. Ultra has the capability of testing the hardness of materials and generating reports accordingly.
   
  Ultra utilizes the latest technology like the Virtek–as well as more conventional methods.
 
The Virtek Laser QC Inspection System has been designed specifically for the precision fabrication industry. The Virtek has the ability to quickly and accurately scan and or pro duce 1st Article Inspection on any flat part during all phases of manufacturing. Reports—The Virtek System is capable of generating many different
reports—from ac tual dimensions, SPC, Capability Studies and other ISO driven documents.
